Thursday, December 11th:

Good Thursday morning! A Winter Weather Advisory goes into effect at 3 PM and lasts until 6 AM tomorrow morning. Look for a mostly quiet Thursday, with snow beginning to spread into Champaign County between 3-6 PM late this afternoon into the early evening. Periods of moderate to heavy snow should continue through the night, with 2-4” of new snow across the area by Friday morning. Another round of snow moves through on Saturday, again with 2-4” of snow possible across Champaign County, for a total of 4-8” Thursday - Saturday. A shot of dangerously cold Arctic air follows Saturday into Monday.

THE HAZARDS:

2 to 4 inches of snow is expected to fall overnight Thursday, Dec 11 to Friday, December 12th with another accumulating snow event on Saturday, December 13th. Dangerously cold Arctic air follows Sunday into early next week.
